Digital Ducks

Check it out, flash Duck Hunt. But without the light gun. So not that great. Also, why is it these basic flash games make my iMac at home whurrr in some crazy fashion? I shouldn't need a couple gigs of ram and a 2ghz processor to play a crappy 8-bit pixel shooter.  I'm running CS4 on it for crying out loud, and that works fine. Screw this retro rubbish, i'm off to download that GTA clone for my iPhone..

"stripped of ya medals like Marion Jones"

In case you hadn't noticed, the World Athletics Championships are taking place right now. Given the BBC's coverage of athletics over the pass few years you'd be forgiven for thinking the the championships even existed let alone have British medal prospects. I mean, they bang on about not enough kids getting into the sport yet I don't see the BBC televising too many meets - shoving a fair few to the graveyard that is the 'red button'. However, what really gets me is the attitude of certain commentators and pundits. They talk about the 'tarnished image' of the sport so much so that their words have no meaning and even make drugs cheats into martyrs (they even seem to forget how their broadcaster's marginalisation of the sport is probably putting off more young athletes than any drug cheat has). For example, have a look at Steve Cram's blog. At least the readers have taken note there and have absolutely lamented the post

On the point of Dwain Chambers, I for one am happy he's competing and fully justified his selection by finishing 6th in the final as Europe's top sprinter. In fact, I think it's  the perfect incentive for young sprinters having Dwain still  sprinting - they want to be world class they have to beat him (consistently) first.  I could bang on about athletics all day but I won't waste any more of your time on it. Let's be positive, congrats to Jess Ennis and Phillips Idowu.

Back of the net

Today's tee looks a bit like the net of a football goal. It's not, it's a collection of skulls formed together into a rather fetching net design. I thought it was an apt choice given what happened this weekend main football talking point: the phantom goal. Perhaps Bristol City's nets are also in this skull formation and contain some kind of evil magical power that prevents opponents form scoring against them. That or their nets were just too tight.....

Diamonds are forever

Make a diamond shape with your hands and put it over your eye. Apparently your choice of eye says something. I have no idea what, but I've just been duped into doing it at wook and looking like a bit of a fool!

Blood on my hands, blud.

Apparently this shit means something on the streets innit. Anyway kids, do something amazing, give blud.

Good grief

Charlie = cocaine. Brown = heroin. What was Charles Schultz trying to say?

Two step, two step

Would Dave 1 off of Chromeo ever wear a similar t-shirt to this? Probably not. Should fashion conscious bands therefore sell t-shirts they are likely to wear as opposed to ones with their logo or what not? I suppose Ed Banger used to do both, didn't they?

Yellow on yellow

No idea what today's t-shirt is all about, suppose it's my tribute to the 1985 arsenal Away kit or something

Bushy

The bird on this t-shirt is actually made up of a rose bush. Not an actual rose bush but a print.

Beat it

Would Michael Jackson still be alive if he had an iPhone? Probably not. Would he still be wearing this cool tee from his Beat It video? I doubt it. Is this post going anywhere? No.

Miami Vice

Do you remember when Natwest used to use Crockett's Theme by Jan Hammer on their ads? It's a pity banking is nowhere near as cool as being a fictional undercover police officer wearing pastel suits though. If I worked for Natwest I'd wear a pastel suit...and probably get sacked as I wouldn't have a clue about banking.

Dinosaurs RIP

I used to love dinosaurs when i was younger. May they rest in peace. (I'll ignore the fact that we are probably using their decomposed remains for oil and whatnot.)
